Police searching for motorists who hit jaywalking man in Anaheim

A man believed to be homeless was killed near a major Anaheim intersection on Monday night, July 11, and police were searching for two vehicles who drove off after hitting him, authorities said.

The man, in his 40s, was jaywalking across Lincoln Avenue near State College Boulevard when he was struck by a white SUV about 9:10 p.m., Anaheim Sgt. Shane Carringer said. The woman driving the SUV stopped.

But as the man was down on the road, a white sedan and another white SUV hit him and did not stop, Carringer said. Detectives were working to identify those two drivers who could face hit-and-run charges, Carringer said.
