Orange police seek armed robbery suspect

A Shell gas station in Orange was robbed by an armed suspect Sunday, July 10, and fled before police arrived, officials said.

The suspect walked into the gas station with his skateboard at the 4300 block of east Chapman Avenue around 9:45 a.m.

He went to the counter and took out a hand gun from his waistband and pointed it at the station’s clerk. The clerk handed him cash from the register before the suspect fled, surveillance footage from the store showed.

The suspect was last seen riding his skateboard with pink wheels west on Chapman Avenue.

Information was not immediately available on how much money was taken. No one was injured during the robbery. Surveillance video of the robbery was posted on the police Facebook page.

Police Tuesday were still seeking the suspect and were seeking tips from the public. Anyone with information was asked to call Detective O’Neil-Tennant at 714-744-7313.
