A man was stabbed to death at his home in Mission Viejo and a woman was detained for questioning Thursday night, June 23, authorities said.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to a home in the 21000 block of Calabaza, near Crucero Park, and found the man in the yard after getting stabbed multiple times, the department said.
He was later pronounced dead at a hospital.
The woman was also found at the home and it was believed she knew the man, the department said, but details of their relationship had not been disclosed.
What led to the stabbing was unclear.
The man had not been identified by sheriff’s officials, pending notification of his relatives.
