A homeless man accused of randomly knocking an Anaheim Central Library employee unconscious and shoving a Target customer earlier this month has been arrested, Anaheim Police Department officials said on Saturday, March 26.
Police this week asked for the public’s help in locating the man after the two consecutive assaults on March 3.
On Friday, patrol officers were in the area of Broadway and Manchester Avenue when they spotted 32-year-old Ivory Julian Anderson Jr., who was wearing similar clothing to the suspect at the time of the attacks.
Anderson, described as homeless, admitted to both attacks, police said in a news release.

The library clerk suffered a laceration to his head and fell unconscious. He has since recovered, according to police. He declined an interview with a reporter.
After video surveillance footage of that attack was circulated on social media, Anaheim police learned of a previous attack the same day at a Target on S. Euclid Street.
There is no known motive for the assaults, said Sgt. Jacob Gallacher, a spokesperson for the Anaheim Police Department.
Anderson was arrested and booked at Orange County Jail on suspicion of assault causing great bodily injury.
