Clippers edged by Heat in Summer League finale

LAS VEGAS — Kyle Allman Jr. scored 26 points, sinking a go-ahead 3-pointer with 31 seconds left, and the Miami Heat rallied past the Clippers, 86-83, in the NBA Summer League finale for both teams on Saturday night.

Jay Scrubb had 16 points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals for the Clippers (2-3), while Reggie Perry had 16 points, six rebounds and two assists and Xavier Moon finished with 16 points, four rebounds and two assists. Scrubb was 7 for 17 from the field (1 for 5 from 3-point range), while Moon was 6 for 11 (2 for 4 from behind the arc) and Perry was 5 for 7 (2 for 2 from long range).

Cam Reynolds added 11 points and four rebounds, while Isiah Brown had eight points and Brandon Boston Jr. had seven points on 2-for-11 shooting (0 for 5 from 3-point range). Forward Moussa Diabate, the Clippers’ only draft pick last month, did not play.

Allman added seven rebounds and six assists for the Heat (2-3). Dru Smith had 22 points and Jamal Cain pitched in with 11 points and 11 rebounds. The Heat outscored the Clippers 31-20 in the fourth quarter.
