Miami Marlins fans will have a number of changes in store in the 2023 schedule, released by Major League Baseball on Wednesday.

Foremost, Miami will play all other 29 teams in the majors, meaning matchups against 15 American League squads, whereas the Marlins faced only a half-dozen AL teams in 2022.

Included in the 2023 American League home dates will be an Aug. 11-13 visit by the New York Yankees, as well as trips to loanDepot Park by the Houston Astros, Oakland Athletics, Toronto Blue Jays, Tampa Bay Rays, Kansas City Royals, Detroit Tigers and Minnesota Twins.

The season opener will be at home against the New York Mets on Thursday, March 30 at 4:10 p.m., kicking off a four-game set.

Additionally, Saturday home games will begin at 4:10, moved up from 2021′s 6:10. Sunday starts will be inched back to 1:40 from this season’s 1:10. Weekday start times will remain at 6:40.

The schedule doesn’t have any major home-road imbalances, with May featuring the most road games with 16 (against 11 home dates), while the Marlins have 14 home games in four of the months, with only 10 away games in July, and 13 road games in April, June and August.

With the additional American League matchups, the intradivisional matchups will be trimmed. The Marlins have generally faced each other NL East team 19 times per season. Next year, Miami is scheduled to play the Mets, Philadelphia Phillies and Washington Nationals 13 times and the Atlanta Braves for only a dozen games.

The Marlins conclude the 2023 season on Sunday, Oct. 1 in Pittsburgh.
