Sofia Elliott, Mission Viejo, So., P: Elliott fired a three-hitter with 13 strikeouts in 11 innings to lead the Diablos to a 2-0 victory at San Juan Hills and keep her team undefeated in the South Coast League.
Peyton Leonard, San Juan Hills, Jr., P: Leonard, best known as a standout defender in soccer, threw 11 innings and struck out eight in a 2-0 loss against No. 9 Mission Viejo.
Jasmine Rios, Western, Jr., P: Rios tossed a no-hitter with 12 strikeouts and also hit two home runs in 17-0 win against Santa Ana Valley in the Orange League.
Sydney Somerndike, Villa Park, Sr., P: The Arizona-bound senior returned from an ankle injury to fire a one-hitter with 12 strikeouts and also collected two hits at the plate in a key, 2-0 victory against Esperanza in the Crestview League.
Carissa Tapia, Kennedy, Sr., 1B: Tapia had two run-scoring hits, including one that drove in the go-ahead run in the eighth inning, to help the Fighting Irish upset then-No. 1 Pacifica 9-2 and move into a tie for first in the Empire League.
