Police released surveillance footage and asked for the public’s help Wednesday, Feb. 17, to identify a suspect wanted for shooting a person in the chest during an attempted carjacking in Northridge.
Officers were summoned at about 4:35 p.m. Feb. 2 to reports of shots fired on the 8500 block of Reseda Boulevard, Los Angeles Police Department officials said in a news release. They found the victim, who was taken to a hospital and listed as stable, police said.
The suspect was described as possibly 25 to 30 years old, 5 feet tall and 160 pounds, with black hair, police said. He was wearing a plaid long-sleeve brown shirt, dark pants and black shoes that day.
