Orange County Soccer Club recently released its 2021 kits, featuring frontline workers from jersey partner Hoag Hospital.
Hoag has been the shirt sponsor for the club since June of 2017.
“In sports, we are taught to focus on the name on the front of the jersey and not the name on the back,” Orange County Soccer Club President of Business Operations Jeff Garner said. “When looking back on the past year, we felt it was critically important to take this opportunity to honor our partner Hoag and their employees for all they have given to our community.”
Following a recent preseason game, the club welcomed several Hoag Community Champion employees to participate in a special kit launch video. Each member will receive a personalized OCSC kit and signed ball at the home opener May 22.
OCSC will continue to honor the Hoag Community Champions throughout the season as part of its commitment to all frontline workers.
In a statement, the club said: “For OCSC this is more than a kit reveal, it was an opportunity to thank and honor our partner and the front line workers at Hoag for everything they have done for our club and community.”
The all-new Adidas kits will feature an orange jersey and black shorts for home games and black on black for away contests. The new alternate kit for 2021 will feature a blue jersey with white shorts and blue socks combo with orange lettering and stripes, inspired by the club’s European partner Glasgow Rangers FC.
