The 2020 World Series championship rings presented to the Dodgers during Friday’s pregame ceremony each feature more than 200 round diamonds, 10 princess-cut diamonds, 45 custom-cut genuine sapphires and eight round genuine sapphires for a carat weight of 11.0 carats.

And if that’s too much for players to carry around on their hand, each ring comes with a box featuring a personalized nameplate, a rotating ring platform that spins when the box is opened and an interior light to showcase the ring.

And that’s not all – the ring box has an interior LCD screen that plays a 4-minute highlight video of the Dodgers’ 2020 season (complete with sound and music) each time the box is opened. It is the most elaborate championship ring box ever created by Josten’s which has also partnered with the Rams to design their 2018 NFC championship ring, the then-Los Angeles Raiders for their Super Bowl XVIII ring and the Lakers’ championship rings in 1982, 1985, 1987 and 1988.

“For 32 years Los Angeles waited for this moment, this team and this ring – and all that it represents,” Dodgers team president and CEO Stan Kasten said in a press release. “Jostens did a spectacular job designing these rings which represent the sacrifice, determination and fortitude demonstrated by our players, coaches and entire organization to win a championship while overcoming unprecedented challenges.”

Each player ring features:

• The “LA” logo on top featuring 17 custom-cut genuine sapphires set atop a baseball diamond which includes 16 diamonds on the base paths;

• 29 diamonds on the interior of the baseball diamond, representing the 29 home runs the Dodgers hit in the postseason bubble in Texas;

• 16 custom-cut sapphires and a halo of 44 diamonds surrounding the logo and baseball diamond;

• 96 diamonds cascading down the sides of the ring;

• Six princess-cut diamonds set in pennants, honoring the Dodgers’ six previous World Series titles;

• 12 princess-cut sapphires representing the 12 home runs the Dodgers hit during the 2020 World Series;

• The individual player’s name and uniform number set in diamonds on the left side of the ring;

• A yellow gold Commissioner’s Trophy accented with a single diamond on the right side of the ring and the year 2020 set with 36 diamonds and underlined by eight round sapphires representing the eight consecutive NL West division titles won by the Dodgers through 2020.

The inside of the ring is personalized with the individual player’s signature and a blue enamel LA logo along with the Dodgers’ postseason series results.
