Front Lit Channel Letters, also referred to as frontlit channel letters, combine an acrylic sheet face, aluminum returns and trim cap into an “can.” Its sides are created by bending strips of aluminum sheet around an aluminum back.
After trimming and painting the sides of each letter, this sign can often be seen on corporate buildings and retail stores as an elegant nighttime illumination solution. UL certified.
Foam
Foams and rubbers are useful materials found everywhere from bath sponges and shower caps, beer glass heads and lake shorelines, to bath tub eddy patterns. Foam is produced by trapping pockets of air within liquid or solid bodies – for instance whipped egg white creates an extremely stable foam as its molecules hold together all those little air bubbles forming within.
Foamy water can form naturally in lakes as wind and currents mix the water, or from physical disturbance such as waterfalls, rapids or riffles agitate it further. Blankets of foam forming beneath dams or along shorelines is also common.

Front and Back Lit

These channel letters feature acrylic faces attached to an aluminum back known as a can. Additionally, polycarbonate covers may be added for extra protection of lighting components and to deter animals from nesting within it.
Returns are precision bent from aluminum and welded onto the can’s backside to create a clean finished look, and provide fastening surfaces for acrylic faces. In order to provide consistent color washing for halo effects, return colors often correspond with LED colors used.
