Police chase suspects from Brea to Riverside County after house burglary

One teenager was arrested and a second suspect was at large late Monday, May 30, after the pair led Brea police on a high-speed freeway chase that ended in Riverside County.

Shortly before 6 p.m., Brea police responded to calls from neighbors who spotted a couple of strangers behaving suspiciously at a home near Lambert Road and Kraemer Boulevard, said Lt. Chris Harvey.

Police pursued the suspects north on the 57 Freeway and then east on the 60 Freeway, where they were assisted by Riverside Sheriff deputies.  The suspects pulled over in Jurupa Valley and took off on foot. Police apprehended one of them, a minor.

No one was injured during the incident. The suspects are believed to be connected to a house burglary in Brea, Harvey said.

No other details were available late Monday.
