Chapman University is spending the weekend celebrating its Class of 2022 grads, already having hosted a campus-wide commencement recognizing all in caps and gowns.
Also on Friday, May 20, the Fowler School of Law and the School of Pharmacy were the first to hand out diplomas in program-specific ceremonies on Wilson Field. Throughout the weekend, the university will honor grads across across a bevy of academic disciplines, with the last event recognizing College of Performing Arts degree recipients in a ceremony at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
In total, 2,528 degrees will have been earned at the university this year.
Jerry Price, Chapman’s dean of students, said university officials are “excited” about the weekend’s celebrations, adding, “one of the hallmarks of Chapman is our authentic sense of community, and commencement weekend feels very much like a family reunion.
“We connect not only with our students, but also their families and loved ones and share in their much-deserved pride in the success of our graduates.”
