Each week, publications from the Southern California News Group’s 11 properties (Orange County Register, L.A. Daily News, Press-Enterprise, San Gabriel Valley Tribune, Long Beach Press-Telegram, The Daily Breeze, San Bernardino Sun, Daily Bulletin, Redlands Daily Facts, Whittier Daily News and Pasadena-Star News) select the Athletes of the Week for their respective region.
Each athlete is then entered into the overall Southern California Athlete of the Week vote.
Click on the newspaper links below the athlete’s name to read about their performance from last week, and then vote for who you think deserves the top honor.
Readers are allowed to vote multiple times. Voting ends at midnight, but final totals aren’t always immediately reflected due to processing.

Landon White, San Dimas: Landon White, the Saints’ sophomore infielder, is off to a great start batting .417 and was key in last week’s two-game sweep over Charter Oak to open the Valle Vista league. White doubled home both runs in the Saints’ 2-0 victory over Charter Oak on Wednesday. Two days later, White belted a home run during their late-inning 12-2 rout over the Chargers to go to 2-0 in league.
Alex Rohm, Mira Costa: Rohm opened Bay League play with a strong performance against Peninsula. The senior right-hander allowed one run on two hits and struck out nine in Mira Costa’s 5-1 win.
Andrew Citron, Harvard-Westlake: Citron showed his versatility in Harvard-Westlake’s three-game sweep of Loyola last week. He was 3 for 3 with a double in the opener, threw two innings and had two strikeouts in the second game, and was 2 for 4 with an RBI Friday. Citron is committed to Georgetown.
