Noteworthy: Nwanze had eight points, 14 rebounds and three blocks for Cerritos in the CIF Southern Section Division 3AA championship game against La Salle. The Dons lost to the Lancers, 46-33. It was the first CIF-SS final for Cerritos’ girls basketball program.
