FBI agents arrested a Westminster man Friday, April 23, at a home after serving a search warrant in connection with the Jan. 6 breach of the U.S. Capitol, authorities said.
It was early morning when agents descended upon the Westminster residence and arrested Kevin Louis Galetto, 61, said FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller.
The criminal complaint states Galetto was taken into custody for a variety of suspected offenses, including:
Westminster police said their officers were not notified by federal authorities about the arrest and not present when it happened.
Galetto was expected to make his initial appearance in federal court at 2 p.m. Friday, April 23.
Federal authorities have continued their search for those suspected of taking part in the storming and siege of the U.S. Capitol.
On Jan. 6, a mob of then-President Donald Trump supporters attempted to overturn his defeat in the 2020 presidential election by disrupting Congress, which was assembled to count electoral votes to formalize now-President Joe Biden’s victory.
Some participants have been identified through social-media images and videos.
