Ruby’s story: Ruby lost the only home she’d ever known because of COVID-19. When she came into rescue, she was terrified and hid in the corner of her condo. She needed to be alone until she realized no one was going to hurt her. Gradually she began approaching people, and today she is affectionate – in fact, she seeks attention. If you are looking for a cat to be the only pet, Ruby is your girl. She doesn’t care for other animals and would thrive in a quiet home, preferably without children. Once she becomes comfortable in her new surroundings, she will be a great companion. She’ll need an experienced cat person who can give her time to decompress in her new environment. And some chicken-flavored Temptations treats can’t hurt.
