The Republican Club of Laguna Woods is having its April 23 membership meeting at BJ’s Restaurant, 24032 El Toro Road in Laguna Hills, on the outside patio, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The meal, with a cost of $25, includes a choice of Italian, Mediterranean chicken or veggie sandwich, fruit, chips, beverage and BJ’s famous dessert, ice cream Pizookie.
Our speaker will be Chalone Warman, an English teacher in the California public schools system for 34 years. Her discussion topic will be “Ethnic Studies in K-12: A Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing.” She will be providing some interesting and frightening insight into what is being taught to our country’s upcoming generation.
