According to the end-of-day totals from California public health websites for Sunday, April 4, there were 1,441 new cases of the coronavirus reported statewide, bringing the total number of cases there have been to 3,653,882.
The 14-day average of new cases daily is 2,608.
There were 50 new deaths reported Sunday, for a total of 59,288 people in California who have died from the virus.
The state reported 2,386 people in hospitals with coronavirus-related infections. That’s 25 fewer patients than Saturday.
The percentage of California’s population that has been fully vaccinated is 18% with 19.5 million vaccinations administered and 7.2 million people fully vaccinated as of Sunday.
