Golden Globes 2021: Chadwick Boseman’s posthumous win celebrated on social media

Chadwick Boseman won a posthumous award for best actor for “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom,” and it brought up a lot of emotion for those watching Sunday’s Golden Globes at home.

“Ma Rainey” was Boseman’s last film performance. The actor, 43, died in August 2020, following a four-year battle with colon cancer. His wife, Taylor Simone Ledward accepted his award on his behalf.

“He would thank God. He would thank his parents. And he would thank his ancestors for their guidance and their sacrifices,” she said in her emotional speech.

People took to Twitter to honor the late actor and his win.

POWERFUL. “I don’t have his words, but we have to take all the moments to celebrate the ones we love. Thank you,” Chadwick Boseman’s wife accepting his #GoldenGlobes #ChadwickBoseman
