Angel City FC announces DoorDash as front-of-kit sponsor

Angel City FC, which make its debut in the National Women’s Soccer League in 2022, announced on Thursday that DoorDash will be its front-of-kit sponsor.

The DoorDash logo will be mid-center on the ACFC official kit and merchandise. ACFC’s colors, crest and kit will be revealed this summer.

“Today marks a major milestone in the evolution of Angel City Football Club as we welcome DoorDash as our founding front-of-kit partner,” Angel City FC co-founder and president FC Julie Uhrman said. “DoorDash aligns with our mission to make a positive impact across Los Angeles and beyond. We are so moved to see them immediately mobilize our partnership by helping get meals to those across Los Angeles who may otherwise go without. This is just the beginning and I look forward to the impact we will make together in the years to come.”

The collaboration will lead to the two committing to bring an estimated 250,000 meals to those in need and they’ve partnered with CARE to “identify local organizations that serve areas of L.A. in which the critical need for food outpaces the bandwith of volunteers and staff distributing it.”

DoorDash also launched its “Be An Angel” campaign, in which it will donate $5 per order up to $15,000 for participating women-owned and -led businesses in L.A.

ACFC will join Sacramento as the 11th and 12th expansion teams in the NWSL. ACFC announced in November that it would play its home games at Banc of California Stadium.
